I have a web app which has everything (all files html, jsp etc) and .class files. I do not have the .class files. I tried to decompile using a decompiler(DJ decompiler). I could decompile cetain .java files but few of them gave error unable to fully decompile certain methods in class. Please advice.

thanks.

Get the source files from the site owner.

Assuming it was possible, would you be legally allowed to do so? Is this your web site, or your company's? If the latter, is there no SCCS in place?

Yes this was developed by developers of our company only and for some reason we were asked to decompile it instead of being given the .java files.

My experience with de-compilers is that they quite often fail to de-compile fully and unless your company have more money than sense they will not want you to spend a long time 'fixing' de-compiled code. In your position I would go back and ask for the source files
