Hi Rancher,
I want to work on Java 7 sdk and i need the installation steps for Java 7 sdk (i heard lately that oracle had released a MAJOR SECURITY BUG FIX for Java 7 SDK).So please keeping that in mind could you give me the steps for installation of Java 7 sdk for windows xp.

They are exactly the same as for other versions of Java.

Reiterating what Campbell said: You will have to download the JDK which contains the fix of the Security issue.

You obviously need to download the latest version, viz 7u15.

7u16 was never released, as far as I know. They went from 7u15 to 7u17.

Mark i have installed java 7u17.hope they dont make java 7u100 in coming months with the kind of security flaws in jdk and jre.
GOD please save JAVA.

Unfortunately, nothing can be said about Java versions. Officially there should be only one update each 3 months, but practice has shown that releases are more often than that.
