My company has been running JForum for 5 years and we are going to move on to another forum.
Are there any known methods of retaining karma in the export of existing data?
Has anyone successfully migrated from JForum to another system?
If so, would you mind sharing what tools you used and any suggestions?

:BUMP:

Perhaps a clarification is needed. I want to retain the rankings in a migration to a different solution. What part of the database do I need to reference to do the extraction?

Alex,
I've only migrated into JForum so can't help with the first question. I have migrated two data formats INTO JForum and that's gone well showing the database structure is sound.

The second question is easier because it is more specifc. Karma is all stored in one table. If you are keeping the user ids the same, that would be enough. If not, also export jforum_users so you cna map usernames to ids or the like.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
