Does WS client need to be generated using same framework as that the server code?

Hi,

I have generated a WS using Axis2 (bottom up approach). It is running fine as I tested it using SoapUI. Now if I give the WSDLs to some other team(to consume the ws), would they need to generate their client-side code using Axis2, or can they generate the client using any framework that they prefer like Axis/CXF/JAX-RI etc.?

I guess no as that will defeat the whole purpose of inter-operability but still want to confirm...
