Hi all, I am having problems deploying my app with log4j. I am not calling log4j yet; i only have the .jar file in my WEB-INF/lib directory.

When I deploy this I get the following error:
org.apache.commons.logging.LogConfigurationException: org.apache.commons.logging.LogConfigurationException: No suitable Log constructor

If I include the file "log4j.xml" off of WEB-INF/classes/ directory, I am still receiving the same error.

Anyone here have any ideas why this is happening?

I'm running Tomcat 5.0.25 + J2SE 1.4.2_05

Sorry I can't help much, but you might get better response in a forum that covers Log4J. This forum is for Servlets questions.

I am going to move this thread to a more appropriate forum.
