Is this the right way to invoke a command line executable from a
java
program:
Runtime.getRuntime().exec("C:\\vs_studio_projects\\vs2010trial\\x64\\Debug\\vs2010trial.exe",env_variables,new File("C:\\vs_studio_projects\\vs2010trial\\x64\\Debug\\"));
i tried this in my code, there are no exceptions, however nothing happens when i run the java program, can someone please help me!!!

No, it isn't the right way. You have to “empty” the error and output streams from the Process. This is simpler if you use
ProcessBuilder
, but
you should
read the classic
article by Michael Daconta
first.

Thank you will go through it.
