Happy Thanksgiving. Did anyone watch the Macy's parade? What was your favorite balloon? Mine is one of the Pillsbury Doughboy, Papa Smurf or Virginia (from Macy's and "is there as santa clause"

I only got a chance to see a small slice of the parade on TV. I always really enjoy the marching bands.

Not a balloon, but some FIRST robotics teams cut the ribbon and led the parade. No teams from NY. One was from Texas though.

I thought that the NYPD marching band looked particularly spiffy, but man, they looked cold! What was the temp up that way, Jeanne?

Ha! That's what we have the internet for:

(Assuming the values are right, it was quite a drop from Wednesday to Thursday!)

Yes, it was cold. It was also cold today when I went to the South Street Seaport Christmas Tree lighting. I got to see Sarah Hughes skate. In a sleveless dress. I don't know how she did it.

At least it wasn't windy tonight. Yesterday I was worried about the wind, not the temperature.

Are you sure it was sleeveless? a lot of the time, they have flesh colored stockings on that make them appear more 'naked' than they are.

No, I'm not sure. I was watching her skate not inspecting her outfit. She had a sweater on as she warmed up on the ice though.
