Hi, I'm applying for a job that requires me to do a little coding exercise that involves some JDBC.

I've attempted two other coding exercises for jobs and failed both ); I never asked for any help with my solutions and worked on them in solitary.
But this time I'm thinking that maybe I should occaisonally ask for a bit of help now and again.
After all, I guess in a real Java production environment it's ok to ask a forum or a co-worker for help on a particular issue.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking anyone to do my homework for me, nor will I disclose the exact language or specifics of the assessment.
I will start the solution by myself, and then ask specific questions about any problems I encounter.

Is this ok? If the mods are not ok with this, then go ahead and let me know, and I'll abstain NP(:

Thanks,

Billy

I don't think this should be a problem. Out policy is (and always was) that specific questions are welcome, but asking to do someone's (home)work is not. If you stick to the former, we'll be glad to help.

I'll move this thread to our Ranch Office forum, as it has more to do with policies than with JDBC.
