Hi

I am java lead engineer(struts ,hibernat) with 7 yrs of experience.
Is it good time to switch in product development or is it late .
If still can go for it . Which of the two will boost my career as I am interested in either Portal development or Hybris .
I am confused !

It's not too late. You should work on what you are most interested in. Nobody can predict the future so you don't know in advance what will be best for your career. But if you do something you enjoy, you are more likely to be good at it. Which means more raises and more opportunities.

Too late? After 7 years? Are you serious?

I've been doing development for 36 years and am continually learning new things.

7 years? You've only just begun (with all due respect to Karen Carpenter).
