i can never find the right forums here for what i'm after, but anyway, is there a canned j2ee application that works like a filesystem browser? i want to deploy a FS.war app that lets me browse the local filesystem of the server where the app is deployed.

Many web servers can do this out of the box, if they're accordingly configured, e.g. Apache httpd and Tomcat. Or should this also browse parts of the file system that are not part of the web hierarchy?

I'm interested in this capability as well. And yes, I'm looking for something that will be able to browse parts of the file system that are not part of the web hierarchy.
