Hello guys,

In terms of functionality, my web application is working fine. However, I am getting this warning in the Console:

INFO: At least one JAR was scanned for TLDs yet contained no TLDs. Enable debug logging for this logger for a complete list of JARs that were scanned but no TLDs were found in them. Skipping unneeded JARs during scanning can improve startup time and JSP compilation time.

I have done the following:

1) Uncommented this line in logging.properties:

2) Added .jars to skip (all .jars in the /WEB-INF/lib) in catalina.properties:

But the warning is still there even after cleaning and restarting Tomcat. Any help?

It's an info message. Just ignore it.

I added jstl-1.2.jar and standard.jar in the lib folder. The INFO disappeared.

Interesting. But again, you can feel pretty safe ignoring info messages.

Thanks Bear. Good to know INFO messages are rather safe.

Just in case anyone encounters the same thing, I got the idea of adding the .jars in the lib from a stray comment here (kanaparthi kiran). I also reverted to the original logging.properties and catalina.properties settings.
