Hi

I am planning prepare for Hadoop Developer and admin exams

i have good java experience, but not a whole lot of unix experience for this exam how much of unix OS concepts are required?

I did my cloudera certified hadoop developer on my own.

MapR certified admin through, my company.

However I dont put the MAPR as I cannot do justice to that.

I am also a Java programmer, so you should ask yourself why both and not concentrate the developer
part totally

i read in some forums that if i have knowledge of administering the hadoop eco system, it will be helpful to troubleshoot any MapReduce issues, so i thought it might be useful
