Hi all ,
I want to integrate the Apache Shiro Security famework
with a java swing desktop application project in NetBeans IDE.

I have read several examples but non is applied to a swing desktop application.
Rather they use a container like glassfish.

Any suggestions please.

Is that a problem? Do you even need the facility?

Swing is a desktop GUI framework; not one designed for people connecting from other machines (which is why Applets were created; but I strongly urge you to avoid those, since they're very old-hat).

So, if someone is running a Swing application, you can probably assume that they are already on your system - and if so, where's the security?
