1Z0-807 Materials and time

Hi folks!

Well, I'm thinking to try the exam at 20th of May. Now I'm studying from 6 to 8 hours per day until achieve that certification. So, I've something like 30 days studying 6 ~ 8 hours per day.

But I'm in a stuck: I've read and done all the exercises from 1 at 6 chapter (Web Tier Technologies) from the Oracle Press Book (Allen/Bambara) in the last week/today. But I don't know where should I go now. I've seen some topics telling that I still need to study this material:

- Chapters 7,8 from Oracle Press Book
- Whizlabs questions (OCMJEA 6 simulator)
- Presentation tier patterns - Core j2ee patterns, Deepak Alur
- Antipatterns from "Bitter Java" and "Bitter EJB", Bruce Tate
- SOA in practice - Nicolai M Josuttis

Can anyone give a complete list of what materials should I study yet and what is not covered in the Oracle Press Book?

Welcome to the Ranch

The architect MC exam doesn't just cover web technologies.

Some questions may test multiple topics at once so if you haven't covered them yet, don't feel despair.

The architect exam's main purpose isn't testing you the API of these technologies (unlike those developer exams). You should need to know the following scope for technologies:
* what is it
* when to use it (pros and cons)
* why such technology is more suitable/better than another one (comparison)

For non-technology topics (namely common architectures, design patterns, OO/design principles, NFR)
* how to achieve it (eg how to set up a 3-tier architecture or how to use XX design pattern)


I didn't do the v6 exam or looked at the Allen EE6 study guide but I believe the Java EE 6 tutorial may be of some help filling in those missing pieces.

Thank you very much koilraj abraham, I'll focus in simplest way. I'll only study with OCM official guide and JEE 6 tutorial. All the subjects of the certification must be inside of these references.
