Hello All,

I have been preparing for OCA JAVA 7 since last 2 months and I am almost prepared for the exam. I heard from several ppl and also read blogs that always I should go for latest Java version exam. So to do that I checked OCA JAVA 8 exam content and found it doable to appear for the exam. However, the problem I am seeing right now is that, there are not may books to prepare for OCP JAVA 8 and also OCA 7 and OCP 8 combination is not allowed.

Again the question remains here is, OCA java 7 + OCP java 7 + Upgrade to 8 OR OCA java 8 + OCP java 8 ??

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

If your goal is to be OCPJP 8 certified, I suggest you do OCA 8 + OCP 8.

Why pay for three exams if you can achieve the same with only two?

Yes my goal is to get java 8 certified. However if you can suggest me books for OCP 8 preparation, it will be great! As I think there are almost no options available.

Thanks for your query. I am sorry I missed to watch this forum for MyExamCloud OCPJP 8 book promotion.
Please find my answer:
As you said your goal is to get java 8 certification; it is good to go for regular certification path to achieve your OCAJP and OCPJP certifications. It is more economical way than the upgrade path (OCAJP 7 + OCPJP 7 + OCPJP 8 Upgrade) including your preparation time. Do not worry about study books for OCPJP 8 till you complete your OCA level. You might get good study guides by the time when you start preparing OCPJP 8. MyExamCloud team also working on eBooks and mock exams and it will be ready by mid of October.

Just add this study plan into your MyExamCloud account and keep watching.
