my operating system is xp proffesional,java 1.2,256mb ram
if u don't mind can u give me detailed way of setting the path....
i tried to set up java web server but that too did not work...i set the path at autoexec.bat.....

the setup should be exactly the same as on a desktop. Follow the instructions provided and you should be ok. I don't believe that XP uses an autoexec.bat file you should be setting the path through the control panel. I really think you should give us more details about your problems, have you downloaded the file? Have you tried installing it? etc then we can help you more.
