I have recently registered a domain name with 1&1.
They have provided me with their name server and I have given them my ip address(provided by my ISP)
Now I want to host my website. Now for testing I want to use my local machine as a server so I installed tomcat5.5 on my machine.
I have created a web application called xxx in the webapps folder.
How can I configure tomcat to view my web pages. I changed the host name in server.xml but that did not work out.

Thank you in advance

in the iexplorer
http\\localhost:8080\filename
the port number may vary..but try this

I don't get it. A whale wearing overalls? How does that even work? It's like a tiny ad wearing overalls.
