Hi,

I'm trying to get Tomcat 5.0.28 to work with Apache 2.0.55 and I get this error when trying to start Apache:

Syntax error on line 276 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache2/modules/mod_jk.so into server: ld.so.1: /usr/local/apache2/bin/httpd: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/local/apache2/modules/mod_jk.so: symbol ap_null_cleanup: referenced symbol not found

Apache was compiled like this:

Syntax error on line 276 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache2/modules/mod_jk.so into server: ld.so.1: /usr/local/apache2/bin/httpd: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/local/apache2/modules/mod_jk.so: symbol ap_null_cleanup: referenced symbol not found

Here's som diag info:

bash-2.05# httpd -V
Server version: Apache/2.0.55
Server built: Nov 23 2005 07:11:29
Server's Module Magic Number: 20020903:11

-D DEFAULT_LOCKFILE="logs/accept.lock"
-D DEFAULT_ERRORLOG="logs/error_log"
-D AP_TYPES_CONFIG_FILE="conf/mime.types"
-D SERVER_CONFIG_FILE="conf/httpd.conf"
bash-2.05# httpd -l
Compiled in modules:
core.c
prefork.c
http_core.c
mod_so.c

So far I've tried compiling mod_jk myself, and keep getting this error:

could not find /usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs
configure: error: You must specify a valid --with-apxs path
bash-2.05# ldd /usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs

That is the correct path for apxs (I've tried a dozen variations on that as well).javascript: x()
banghead

If anyone has encountered these, please advise.

Regards,
Gerg
