package org.gjt.mm does not exist

Hi, I am trying to connect to MySQL database through a jsp to retrieve a couple of values from a table.But I am getting this exception : package org.gjt.mm does not exist. I have placed the mysql connector file in common/lib of tomcat as well as web-inf/lib.And I have set classpath to both as well.My jsp goes like this:

What can be the reason for the exception?

This sounds like a classpath issue. I'll move it to our Tomcat forum where you can get tips on where to put the jar.

It needs to be WEB-INF/lib.
