I am in need of more example oriented book other than manual. I have gone thru' the manual once..

but is there any book like Jess... for JBoss Rules..

Since I am lacking behind the proper foundation on rule engine...

Is Jess and JBoss Rules are different? If no bboks available for JBoss other than manual, can I buy Jess to understand the basci concepts only(for good foundation)

"Jess in Action" would indeed help you with concepts and understanding some use cases. As you suspect, the syntax and other particulars will be quite different.

At one time there was a "drools" book in the works from Apress, with a November 2006 release date; but then JBoss took over the drools project and completely reworked the code, so that the book would have needed to be completely rewritten. As far as I know the author gave up and the book project was scrapped.
