Hey Jason,
I have a working version of Servlets 4b but, ofcourse I have not been nitpicked on it yet. Anything in particuliar your having problems with?

If you happen to use TextPad to code then it gives you the option to change your tabs to spaces every time you save.

I sent the long to a method to be processed. Like Jason, I also ended up with 4 methods besides main to do all of the processing. Take Jason's advice on this he seems to be a wiz when it comes to the Assignments
Best of Luck to you Dean

My servlets are generating the HTML code as well
My problem was trying to make all the code look neat in the servlets

Just got back in town and caught up with the plan to save the assignment log. I am really curious to see Michael's prototype. I would like to help with whatever I can. I am more comfortable at this point doing servlets but haven't really learned anything useful about XML yet.
I definately agree that if we do this we should get a simple working version first and foremost and then work to improve/change from there

Hey Greg, I just thought I would let you know that I had four different versions of this program before I decided which one to send in (three were using just one class and the other had two classes). So there are probably quite a few ways to get a working copy for this assignment. I would submit the most easily readable version and go from there.

Thought I would add this link in case it can help: http://www.novocode.com/doc/servlet-essentials/
The other suggestion I have is to just do a search for java, servlets, and/or jsp on google.com or ask.com or whatever search engine you prefer.

When I saw the heading I thought Uh-Oh I wonder what that is all about. Definately caught our attention Richard. Pretty Funny!

Doh! I did, well let's just say, Not so good on this one. That's a great confidence booster, (in the words of Richard) NOT!

Hey Pauline, I would like to help contribute to some sort of "organized" group project. As JDJ states though, it seems hard to get them off the ground sometimes.
Pualine are you wanting to step in and lead a group project?

I work for a small start-up company that is right now focusing on an internet based Java program. I have worked on some VB projects for them as well. I am here now but am currently looking for a more stable, better paying job.
I love reading, running, and most importantly playing with my 3 year old daughter (McKenzie). Someday I would like to learn to play the piano and tap dance
