That's what I'm thinking about! Developers are met with many expectations, few people realize how much effort
it can take to get from one point to another, many obstacles. You have to keep up the good spirit. I think the book
would be interesting to read to find out how they actually dealt with those situations! Thanks for answering!

Dear author of Coders At Work,

Your book looks promising and it would be great to read about the best in the field and how they do their jobs,
however as a programmer I know you have to deal with the flipsides such as deadlines, server downtimes, unscheduled
working hours and at times you depend on many other people's work in order to do your own work .. eg systems have to be
running, internet has to be accesible and so on...

Have you asked, during your interviews, about how the developers deal with these topics or are they only complete
success stories ? :-)

A question for authors
Does the book cover earlier Atom standards and make an explanation of the differences, pros and cons over RSS standards and the Atom standard? Are there numerous of examples that one can easily learn from in the book ?

This is a question to authors of Pro Ajax and Java Frameworks..
Does the book introduce the history of Ajax, what came before and how the idea came to? Will the book be an ideal beginners book?
Thanks. It was what I meant, more or less. Then it sounds like a book for me, since I have some basic knowledge of the concepts used in the book (and need a little more to get goin'). Sorry for my topic, but I was thinking something else when I posted.

Hi authors, I would like to ask the authors where to start out if I would like to know more about building web pages using standard UI components. Can I just start reading the book (snap fingers) like that if you are completely new to the j2ee world? If one has an enormous interest in designing UI's on the web using standard components and procedures - would this be a good book to begin with ? Thanks.
