Hi

Congrats !!

I understand logo is attractive. But, don't you think you can simply write in your resume that you are OMG UML certified, and if required prove it by showing the result on an official website. Why are you worrying about getting a logo to prove that you are a certified professional.

Saurabh.

I agree uml books are very costly. But if you think preparation is costly, then you would be shocked to see the exam cost. I enquired about uml certification voucher at one of the institutes in Pune. Both fundamental and intermediate exam voucher costs approx Rs 10k.

As far as the search for test centers is concerned just locate the test center at the link http://www.pearsonvue.com/omg/

Hi Theo

I am glad to see someone clear OMG UML certification as this is not a very common area where techies try to get cerified.

Heartiest Congratulations !!

I am looking to clear this exam by Dec 2009 and have started my studies today. I am currently referring UML 2 in a Nutshell by Wrox publication. I would purchase the Weilkiens and Oestereich book soon as I have seen most guys recommend that book for a comprehensive learning approach.

My question to you is, how much time it would take to prepare and pass the intermediate level exam if I am starting my studies now. Please note, I have a java programming background but no experience in design or architecture but I still want to go for this unique certification as I think it would be useful for long term career goals.

Please can you also suggest a strategy to clear and score in this exam.

Please advise.

Regards,
Saurabh.
