I have gnuplot on a unix machine, and I need to move a bunch of stuff from tha tmachine to a mac, and I was wondering if there is a version of gnuplot or something that will work on a strictly command line basis for macintosh.

Whiskey, with coke or shots.

I used the locate command, and sure enough I found the file, but it was buried in the BIND directory somewhere. I believe it should be somewhere in the "etc" directory either /etc/named.conf or /etc/bin/named.conf. But it ain't there.
I wonder if SuSE is doing something weird to it. (those crazy germans)

Bascially, I did a ./configure, then a make, then a make install of BIND 9.2.1, so it should be installed, and now I am following an online tutorial, and one of the first things it says to look at is the named.conf file in the etc directoy. I don't have this file/can't find it.

Oh god, I also hope that the qulaity of the machines is not put on the back burner from this move towards mass sales. Come to think of it, I have a friend that recently got a new Alienware system and there were quite a few things wrong with it when he first got it, such as a non-working hard drive. However, now that he has it up and running, seeing him play counter-strike on it brings a tear to my eye.

What is your dream computer, and it has to be fairly realistic,(10,000$ or less)

I am still trying to figure mine out, but I think it would be either some kind of alien ware, or a falcon northwest gaming machine, or maybe even just a custom make....

Is there a dress code for being a father? Or do your kids just give you ties as gifts that you are forced to wear?

I downloaded BIND 9.2.1 to try to create a DNS server on my machine running SUSE linux 7.3. I am having some problems, does anyone know how to do this??

Thank you, those sites were helpful.

I am trying to become a UNIX sysadmin for my company (very small) and I know enough Unix to do menial tasks, but I would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the direction of a good online tutorial that really teaches one how to become an effective system administrator.

I really became apathetic towards grades this year (jr. year at highschool). I went from ALWAYS having A/B report cards, with mostly A's to getting quite a few C's. I just really saw no point to going insane working all the time, when I can have a bit of fun and enjoy myself, and get a B/C average. I think the trade off is worth it.

Check out my awesome web site. All employees had to do web sites. It had to have at minimum their name and a picture, as you can see I went a bit over board, I think this is the best web site ever.
It also furthers my belief that people who sit around programming java and perl all day and sysadmining should not be forced to do web sites.
