Thanks Claire, appreciate the response, I started PMP because there was HFPMP for it & why do you feel this would not be sufficient. This book is great & the way I am looking at it there are many people who plan to give the exam after Augest are eagerly waiting for this books release for this book is the best for starting for its preparation.

Hi, I was wondering if Head First people will be launching the the new version book for PMP since a new version is gonna come after Aug 2011. Like me there are plenty readers of HFPMP but since I will be giving the exam after Aug It would be great if the new version of the book comes as well.
Once we had this requirement we hardcoded md5() in the sql statement itself to save the encrypted password & also did similar changes in the applicationSecurity.xml having code as

I hope thats what problem was , if possibly if I have misinterpreted the problem kindly pardon me & would request for more detailed explanantion.

Hi, you can try using filter with url pattern "/*" & you still have access to the request object. Let me know if you something better & specific in Spring for the mentioned task.
Apart from this I could really understand why exactly are using InterceptorExceptionForRedirection() ?.

Hi, what you have mentioned is definitely weird. So let me ask you from the basic, have you repeated the mentioned problem scenario for 3-4 times& received the same behavior again & again also are you pretty sure this is happening when you access using the admin credentials (just a little bit doubtful, you know the saying to err is human) . , Do let me know more about your observation on the same.

Hi, I believe Spring has been the best decision made so far by us. It has tremendously helped not to mention Spring Security has been a blessing.

I believe we programming greenhorns need to also understand the management in terms of project as well as people. Also there is a wonderfull PMP book by HeadFirst Series. It would be nice since people with the passion of growing in the organization in terms of programming as well as managing the team could be made more efficient.

Congrats Gavin , I do hope the same if they could scrape the training from the certification its really expensive, hope they do that soon so that I too can go ahead for it , It would be really nice if you could share your notes since it would be better collated & compiled specifically for the exam, once again congrats

Well what I meant was that even after 2-3 years spring & struts should continue to grow & make things much better rather than some big daddy telling what others should do.

You are also assuming Spring MVC and the like stay still and let JSF "catch up".

Didnt quite get that, can you please elaborate.

Gentlemen thanks for all of your enlightening responses. So I might assume that JSF has another year or two to catch up with Spring (especially Spring 3)& Struts2 so that by then majority of projects would be running on JSF. (call me a pessimist but I dont want that to happen )??
