Hi All,

I am trying to figure out a way to bind the java util date in HQL query. My query is a insert query which has a SELECT Query. I am trying to insert the created time with java.util.Date. Since it on the select query , I am not to able to bind it.

if you look at the code above , I currently use sysdate but I need to populate the value in the App and it shouldn't depend on the DB's timestamp.

Thoughts on this are much appreciated.
Hi Anayonkar,

Why? Is there anything wrong in current company, or is it just money? Please note that very very rarely you'll get everything at same workplace. If you are gaining the money, you'd be losing something - say work pleasure, or big title, or something else. Please make sure if you are ready to do the tread-off

I prefer for a shift for good learning as well as better compensation. As far as JD is concern, i find it very impressive, with lots of scope to learn new technologies.

Well, suddenly, red flag went up in my mind. Of course, it might be a very good company, but for an IT company, if there's not much information available on internet, then it is quite strange. You should be very careful about it - and if you choose to attend the interview, you can outright ask them this question - why don't I see much data about your company on the internet?

I don't find much information about the IT division. This particular company has good reputation in US among small companies. I did questioned about this during my interview, but they told me they are better known by there products. The company is listed in US stock markets.

Nothing. As long as company is good, and your resume and skills are good, nobody really cares about CMM levels these days. Of course, level 5 is good - no doubt, but that doesn't mean that level 3 is bad or something. Just FYI, Google is not a CMMI level 5 company Do you think that someone will not hire ex-Google employee, just because of that?

Agreed.

Well, even if prospective employer don't know about your company, they will try to find out. Only things matter here are - that you don't fake anything (you have actual experience, and the company is legitimate etc.) and that you have the knowledge about those technologies

Fine.

I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Trying to figure out more about the same.

Since this being my first change, I have many questions and just trying to make sure before shifting company

Hi All,

I have around 3+ years of experience in Java/J2EE. I currently work for a CMMI Level5 company. I was recruited from college campus. Off late I find a urge to change company. Now I have an offer with a Not-So-Popular product based company but i am offered a very good package. Also the job prospective seems to be really good. I have following queries.

1. I tried asking many people about this company, but none seems to be knowing it. I tried googling out, I couldn't make out much regarding the stability of the company. Is there someone who could help me if i PM the company name.?

2. Am moving from a CMMI level 5 company, what would be the impact .?

3. Since my prospective employer is not very known (atleast to my perception), what would happen if i plan to switch say after 2-3 years. Will i be atleast short-listed assuming my profile matches the JD. Is there any chance that I wont be considered because of my company name and things.
