I was able to contact Oracle Certification Program Team after posting the question. The reason that the form failed to be submitted was that I did not select the country when I hit the submit button and there was no error explanation about that. My country(Kosova) was not in the list and I did not select one. I am being forced to change the address in the Pearson VUE account so they can ship the hard copy certificate to another country since Kosova is not in the list of countries in Pearson VUE as well.

As a conclusion: I can request a hard copy certificate in different country and I can request it any time later.

Thank you,
Sahadete
Hello everyone,

As many ranchers here, I also wanted to share my story in order to help prospective OCAs. The journey to certification was not short and but not so difficult for me.
I was not a novice since I have learned Java years ago but never really captured the essence of it.

Below are my study sources:

1. Code Ranch;
2. OCA/OCP Java SE 7 I&II Study Guide - Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates (read only the first part);
3. Oracle Certified Associate Java SE 8 Programmer I - Jeanne Boyarsky and Scott Selikoff;
4. Enthuware Mock Exams(for OCA-JP-I SE8).
Scores:
  • Standard Test 1 - 91%
  • Standard Test 2 - 91%
  • Standard Test 3 - 91%
  • Standard Test 4 - 91%
  • Standard Test 5 - 88%
  • Standard Test 6 - 92%
  • Standard Test 7 - 86%

  • p.s checking discussions about particular questions helped me a lot.

    While learning, I took a lot of notes, so I was able to recall easily things I learned.

    Real Exam Score - 97%

    Is there any possibility that the hard copy certificate be shipped to a different country from the country I registered and completed the exam?
    And can I request the hard copy certificate later in time?

    I tried to contact Oracle Certification Support but I was not able to do so. So I thought to post the questions here.
    Thank you in advance.
    I constantly need to drink water because I have a dry throat. Does anybody know if I am allowed to bring a bottle of water with me?
    I am sorry if this question is a little off topic, but it's still relevant.

    Thank you.

    Thank you for the answer Jeanne.
    I am glad to know that the exam specifies the number of correct answers because when taking a test, sometimes I tend to select more/less options.
    What are some details I should know before entering the exam? Am I allowed to use paper and pen to take notes while on the exam? Does Oracle specify the number of correct answers I should select?

    Thank you in advance.
    Yes I forgot CodeRanch... but as long as I posted the question in this forum, means that I already considered it as source of resources for the information, advices and materials for the certification path.
    I couldn't ask for better... I got my question answered from the authors of books themselves and also from certified people who are willing to help.

    With gratitude,
    Sahadete.
    Thank you all for the helpful information that you shared. I appreciate it. I am currently learning from the Bert Bates and Kathy Sierra Book for Java 7, and after I finish it, I am thinking to read the book of Jeanne Boyarsky and Scott Selikoff for java 8. Studying from these two books and mock exams I think are more than enough to pass the exam

    Could anyone tell me if there is a big difference between OCA Java SE 7(1ZO-803) and OCA Java SE 8 (1ZO-808) exams? I am studying for the former but am thinking to take the latter.
    Where can I find a good book and practice tests about the exam?

    Thank you in advance.
