Hi

I am looking for a tool that can generate Java-based CORBA mock server from an IDL. The generated mock server can simply return some dummy values, that can be modified at a later time.

Better yet, the tool can provide an infrastructure to customize the response and do simple processing on the input parameter, like building a test suite. But I am happy to start with just a dummy mock server.

Any experts out there can provide a link/reference? I have been looking on google for a while and couldn't find one.

Thanks

Mobile 3D developers are getting more industry supports. Discreet 3D Studio MAX version 7 is released and it can export scene model into M3G (JSR-184) file format.

Here is my first review of this exporter. It comes with all the pics you need to see.

Sony Ericsson also publish a paper for M3G development, which cover JSR-184 API and Micro3D API

if you are using MIDP 2.0, you can create a String ITem of BUTTON type. it looks like a button on Sony Ericsson P900. I have a screenshot here

well.. for users, i am sure java means games for them. because that is what the operator is pushing for and this is where the money is right now. mobile phones, in its nature, designed for fun and communication. but i don't entirely believe that java app is dead.. but people need to working around the definition of java app. some hard core enterprise people think app always means business app or accessing enterprise data. this is not always the case... you don't want to work the entire life to figure out how to access the inventory database using the little mobile phone, when there are other oppotunity available out there.
take it easy

Hi, there are some SMS toolkit around, but none of them really allow you to access SMSC freely. SMSC is a property of carrier and they won't let you spam it. Nonetheless, if you are interested, you can check out the some Java based SMS toolkit that you need to interfacing the SMSC. Try the following links to see a list of them.

what would this sponsor does? fund the project?? I don't know why would a company does that unless there is some business advantage to them. and in that case, i guess you just sell your open source project as if you sell a product...

I think the true power of mobile game is the characteristic that it is "mobile". game developers need to take advantage of this important attribute. if people like to see amazing 3D effect, they have a very high performance PC at home to do so. but PC is not mobile! I think the trend for killer games will be those that can take advantage of mobility. games that leverage phone camera, push-based messaging, multi-player, location etc. in the other words, games that cannot be done in tranditional console otherwise.
just my 2 cents

is there any hope to see a pure java based phone? (similar to blackberry), where java midlet can become native app? in consumer devices, I hope to see java can become "first citizen". I found a lot of company saying they have high speed JVM for contrainted environment, are they fast enough as a platform?
