Has anyone else had any problems with 5.5 or am I doing something wrong.

i checked Apache Website just now. Infact, Tomcat 5.5 is released yesterday only (3rd Dec). So the likelihood of somebody having tried it is v.less.

Being in its incubatory state, it is recommended to play safe and use tomcat 5.0.X, till we get some results on the new version.

As Mike has said, there is no difference in the version of the spec that 5.0 and 5.5 support.

Happy developing...

If you're not pissing some people off, you're just not living.
If you're not getting pissed off once in a while, you're just
not paying attention.

i really liked that...

Gaurav.
yes, the book is arranged in such a manner that it is advisable to cover it sequentially.

Regarding the specs, check this thread to see what authors say.

All the best.

Rgds,
Gaurav.
Congratulations Sudhakar!
Job well done.

Any updates, Janna ? have u got ur result ?

Rgds,
Gaurav.
Never mind. Almost every body was stumped by this question for the first time.

Regards,
Gaurav.
What was your score kishore?
If it is above 40, then i will recommend, that u should go for the exam.

Personally speaking, i found the final HFS mock *much* harder than the real one. Mainly because, it did not tell, how many questions are correct.
i had a lot of those, in which i ticked the correct option(s), but those were not the ONLY correct ones.

so analyse your mock exam results carefully, and accordingly decide.
All the best.

Gaurav.
i agree to what Anthony says. It is really not all that different from 1.3(especially the servlet stuff).
Moreover, there seems to be a bit of *fuss* about 1.4. (Partially justifiable, though)
But JSTL/EL are easy and interesting to learn. So, if time is not a real constraint, one should go for 1.4.
It is always better to stay updated.

Rgds,
Gaurav.
Congratulations Bahadur !!!
A great score.

so, what's next on the plate ?

Gaurav.
Absolutely !!!
but i stopped studying anything, 12 hrs before the exam. Would recommend u to do that, and also, as HFS says, drink LOTS of water ....

and Relax. The actual paper is pretty easier than what is expected.

Rgds,
Gaurav.
Bahadur,
have u checked this thread ?

Best of luck for the exam. U will come out with flying colors.

Rgds,
Gaurav.
Howdy Fellas,

another good thing would be to *search* the forum, before putting the question. We have got that nice small link called 'search' in the top right, which allows u to search from the previous posts.
I have experienced that about 80% of my queries are already raised (and answered!!!) beforehand.

Regards,
Gaurav.
Excellent Work Dale.

To all those, who don't know how great Dale is,
here is another thread where he has published a similar PPT on Servlet Listeners (which is equally wonderful !!!)

Regards,
Gaurav.
For JSTL, click here to download the specs.

I don't remember from where i downloaded the EL specs. Can somebody else help ?

Gaurav.
Congratulations Sami!!!
Good work. keep it up.
