That is your perspective. The other thinking is sci-fi brings the creating and formative thinking in a man; that indirectly pushes the ideal as kids like.

Just got me thinking...."Creative" maybe (then again, there could be a whole different thread on how creativity can be defined - not just spending mega bucks to glorify an inherently lame concept - not referring to ROTS in particular), but isn't "formative" supposed to have been attained before the stage of "man" is reached??!!

But if you buy digi cam with enough memory (say 1 GB, can record upto 45 min and more than 400 pics) I think it would serve as camcorder too.. [the only thing is that you cant change focus once you have started recording ..]

Peter, don't be misinformed here. The notions that digital cams cannot change focus, have relatively less resolution, cumbersome to handle as camcorders etc are just misconceptions. I was misinformed for a long time, until I decided to go for the Canon Powershot S1-IS. It comes with 10X optical zoom (which is really all you should be worried about, not the 32X digital zoom which you will probably use less than 5% of the time), Image Stabilization, an awesome rotating LCD display - great for movie shooting, and an amazing range of preset capture modes. The video mode is particularly impressive, and I've made some amazing movies using this - being able to fully use the digital cam features whilst shooting movies - zoom et al. For its price, I can safely say there are very few that would be able to beat its versatility, reliability and quality.

Some might argue that the 3MP might be less than adequate, but hey, unless you are planning to print blown-up posters, pictures shot at 3MP with optimal zoom are great for home viewing, preserving memories and showing off among friends! And this is coming from someone who pursues photography as a serious (and extremely financially-draining) hobby!

True, but that was probably the most (and the least) the director could do, given the setting. And yes, the brief men's room shot and the 3 minutes of screen time outside the room were the only times the setting changes. And this, according to me, is another beautiful aspect - the director achieved making the room appear smaller as the tension mounts.

And true, everybody would probably like to equate themselves with juror #8...in a short span, and with minimal technical support, the movie pretty much presented most types of people that we all encounter everyday - the skeptic, the prejudiced, the hot-headed, the wannabe, the sheep-in-the-herd, the meek and more.

I had watched this a long while ago, and laid my hands on it again last week, and ever since I can't stop wondering! This has got to be one of the finest movies of all times. And the wonder is fuelled by the fact that its all set in one 16 X 24 room, no jazzy directorial stunts pulled off or any of that. I've watched it 5 times since I got it, and each time brings out some more amazing facet....not sure if anyone was so amazed, but I found it hard to hold back my sheer respect and awe for the movie.

I guess the subject says it all. Any ideas?
