This week's book giveaway is in the OCAJP 8 forum. We're giving away four copies of OCA Java SE 8 Programmer I Study Guide and have Edward Finegan & Robert Liguori on-line! See this thread for details.
I am making sequence diagram for some project that i made. It was very complex.
First, there was call from java to jni, then there are number of calls from jni to java. with parameters. I am unable to specify these calls in Sequence diagram. Someone can lead me towards the solution?
The difference between <b>failure</b> and <b>success</b> is often being <b>right</b> and being <b>exactly right</b>.
Sequence diagrams are general-purpose diagrams, which can show synchronous and asynchronous interaction between multiple systems or processes. As such they seem a reasonable fit for what you have described so far, so I'm guessing there must be some more detailled problems which you have not mentioned.
Can you explain a bit more about (a) who needs your diagram, and what they need to do with it, and (b) what you have tried so far , and (c) what problems you have encountered?
who needs your diagram, and what they need to do with it
I am going to hand over the module (coded) to other developer and he needs to understand things, how these are working and how i have populated the the beans from the JNI.
what you have tried so far
I have tried to show simple calls that i made in JAVA, then using a DOTED line a separated the C++ CLASS labeling JNI layer.
what problems you have encountered?
I am treating the C++ Class as simple other class with no specific thing mentioning except that of JNI Comment in labels. I want to know is there any specific way to DOCUMENT the JNI calls, with Java. [ January 16, 2007: Message edited by: Muhammad Ali ]
