I was just wondering what the UML notation for a Java annotation was?

We have syntax for classes and special rules for abstract classes and interfaces. I was just wondering, is there a special way to diagram an annotation, and the various elements/attributes of an annotation in a standard way?

I did a quick google search, but couldn't find any pertinent resources. None that looked reputable, anyways.

Just curious.

Thanks.

Did you come across Representing Explicit Attributes in UML (PDF)? At least they look at several options.

However personally I'd suspect a severe case of micro-modeling (and CASE tool glorification)...

http://taylor.sourceforge.net/index.php/Overview makes the interesting statement that Stereotypes are conceptually the same as Java annotations.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
