I hope this is not an old debate.. I have been using Forte CE (3) for last 8/9 months.. I find it very good.. I heard about NetBeans also... I know that Forte is based on NetBeans... is there anyone who has used the both and can suggest the difference between them?

As for me, I have always had a better experience with Netbeans than Fortce. It runs faster and alot more smoothly to me...

There is one big difference between Netbeans and Sun Studio One (Which I guess is the new Forte). Sun Studio One is slow. It took forever to load on my p4 1.6ghz. Netbeans is not the fastest application I have ever used, but I would say it was much faster than Sun One.
