About Netbeans Open APIs

I am working on Netbeans API.We are developing our own module that we want to integrate with netbeans IDE.The problem is that after adding our module in a project when project is reopened, it gets all the things back to the position where we were at the timing of saving project.But the contents of out module are not coming back.So what is to be done?
How to serialize our module so that it can be retrived in a same state when project is reopened.
If somebody can send sample codes using netbeans api,will help a lot.
