Frontpage and Perl

Hi All,
I was wondering if a website is set up in Frontpage and is designed to prompt the user for a username and password to access the site, is there a quick and painless way of accessing the username typed in at that prompt from a Perl script's level? Basically the username typed in will be the same username that will be used in the application and instead of having to prompt twice I was hoping to access the log-in username within the script. I'd greatly appreciate any help out there. Thanks.
Rob
