Eclipse, editing in column mode

Hi I have a question for all Eclipse users.
I used to use an editor called UltraEdit which was excellent but have slowly moved to an IDE in eclipse.
One of the features I made use of often was column mode (alt-c, in Ultraedit) where you can select test in an editor by column and not by line. Is there similar functionality in eclipse?

No, but the Visual SlickEdit plug-in does column-select and much more.

metacomment: While I certainly appreciate freeware, I'd feel a bit hypocritical to always expect it in light of the fact that I earn my living selling software. I register "cheap" software like WinZip and SnagIt because they make my job easier; sometimes I even shell out the big bucks for products like Adobe Acrobat.
I'm fortunate that my employer provides me with a lot of the really expensive software products I use daily. This is bordering on a mini-rant, so I'll simply end by noting that much of the "free" software in this world is ultimately paid by commercial software sales. Eclipse is a case study of this business model. Next time you happily buy some commercial software, think of it as supporting the freebies.
