JavaRanch site rocks. Could anyone move the Hop To Forum : Listbox currently at the end of the messages also to the top of the messages so that I can save on scrolling..
The JDC does that!
Just a thought..

I just checked, and there doesn't appear to be a way to do that using the software we use. Other than hacking the software, of course, but we don't like to do that since it makes it very difficult to upgrade later. So unless a later upgrade offers this option (or we eventually migrate to different discussion software, which is currently unlikely) this isn't really an option for us. Sorry, but thanks for the suggestion.

If you're using windows, you can use ctrl-end to jump to the bottom of a page (ctrl-home to jump to the top) rather than scrolling.
