CVS documentation FOR BEGINNERS

I have been to serveral sites including cvshome.org looking for some good beginners documentation on getting CVS up and running. Specifically, setting it up so that I can access over the internet and/or a network.
All the documentation I have stumbled across deals more with the client than setting up the server. One example doc I found actually said "Whoever is in charge of your project's configuration management will know what this is" regarding the CVSROOT path. Now, I understand what that is.
Anyway, If anyone can't point me towards a good on-line walk thru of how to setup a CVS Server for internet access I would really appreciate it.

I found this. Seems to be what I am looking for. However, more choices the better. Sometimes one person leaves out what another person remembers. So I am still open for docs.
Thanks.

What OS are you running? Try debian reference guide on www.debian.org. I suggest you to run SSH over the network for security concern. and it's extremely easy to set up.
