this program has performed an illegal oper...

when i log to javaranch and click to any topic i see this message
my browser is IE 5 and java plugins are loaded.if i click on
ok button of message then all windows close down.
this problem is not with other sites like yahoo and hotmail
what should i do?

Sound very strange ... i also use IE5 and have never had such problems ... I seem to remember that some time ago someone posted with a similar problem ... I'll have a look and see if i can find the thread!

Found it here http://www.javaranch.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/000407.html ... the solution we think was to upgrade to the latest edition of IE!

Also, IE4 and above natively support Java 1.1.4 so no plugins are necessary. If we are using Java 2 in our Web site, it's news to me.
