I have converted quite successfully to eclipse but I'm experiencing a couple of problems.
I'm using version 2.1.2. Twice in the last six months now Eclipse has failed to open my Workbench settings losing everything and leaving me with just the Open a, and Resource Perspective icons. Fortunately, I had made a back up but it is nevertheless quite worrying. Secondly, editing in Eclipse can be very slow, I've seen reference to this in other posts. I have about 10 smallish projects in my Workbench.
I'm wondering would switching to verion 3.0M6 solve any of these problems? And when 3.0 is released will there be automatic upgrades for 3.0M6 and 2.1.2 respectively?
Any feedback on this would be most welcome.
Best regards,
John

It's difficult to say what's wrong. Here are some questions that might help, though:
Are the projects open all the time?
Have you disabled build-on-modification?
Which OS you're running on?
Have you filed a bug report?

I encounter once in a while that 2.1.x fails to open a project on a network drive. Choosing open project on the project opens it again...
Haven't lost my entire workbench yet.
I doubt you'll be able to simply upgrade from 2.1 to 3.0 once released. The differences are rather large (including differences that make most of your plugins fail to work in 3.0).
But who knows what will happen in the next 6 months (which is the estimated timeframe before release of 3.0).
