I have 2 projects in my workspace exapmle A and B.
B is referring A but A is not referring B.
B is the ejb jar file while A is a utility jar file.
If i set my classloader mode to PARENT_FIRST classes from A are not loaded and the ejb jar file is not started,i get a noclassdeffound error for classes in A.
If i set my classloader mode to PARENT_LAST every thing works fine.

What is the problem with PARENT_FIRST??

There's apparently a jar file on the app server classpath which contains some of the same classes as you have in B but are of a different version than the one you are compiling with.
