Chandana, The example you posted is a syntax error. But I understand what you mean. You can have eclipse flag things like unused code or other common problems in the preferences.
You need a plugin like Lomboz for JSP support. Eclipse doesn't do it by default.
hi Jeanne, Thanks for your post. I have downloaded lomboz and syntax color highlighting works fine.
I did a lot of searching on the web, but I just couldn't find how to set syntax error highlighting(in Windows > preferences) what to set up and where to find it..
I would appreciate it if someone tells me how to set it up. I want to see errors in my file as well as on the right hand column, next to the vertical scrollbar.
Chandana, I'm not sure. I thought you got that for default. I see little red boxes on the right that correspond to the location of errors in the document. I also see circles with X's on the left bar that I can click on for more details.
