We are using Emacs with JDE as our development tool in a project consiting of many java, open source tools as well as a few commerical products. We are currently looking for a free lightweight jsp editor. We have already tried the heavyweight IDEs and hence want a lightweight JSP editor. The lighter the better. Of course NetBeans, JBuilder, IDEA, Eclipse, Dream Weaver, HomeSite are not what I am looking for.

Some close tools may be Textpad (but we are using linux Debian+Slackware and want a free/open source tool), JEdit etc. Need your comments and opinions.

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
