What does "Workbench" mean in Eclipse ?

When i'm read document of Eclipse, config eclipse, i'm usually found "Workbench". But i'm confuse in mean of "Workbench".

What does "Workbench" mean ?

What does "Workbench" mean ?

"Workbench" generally refers to the entire IDE that you interact with. "Eclipse" can refer to the IDE, the libraries, the foundation, the open-source project, etc. depending on the context. The Eclipse Workbench is the IDE itself.
