Hi folks,

can any one suggest me, from Eclipse and NetBeans, which is a better IDE for J2EE development using open source technologies. Presently i am using Eclipse 3.0, but have to set up lots of plugins like lomboz for J2EE development. I dont have much idea about NetBeans. But i've read that NetBeans 4 is offering lots of goodies for J2EE development. Can any one suggest which one is better.

Thanks,
Aju

Not surprisingly, this turns out to be matter of personal preference. Eclipse among other things, is popular with open-source lovers.

I am moving this thread over to "IDEs and other tools" forum.

Netbeans looks nice but is even slower than is Eclipse with Lomboz...
It's also a lot less powerful in regard refactoring and customisation features.
