I have a program that works from within eclipse(ie. when I use eclipse to run the code) but when I run it outside of eclipse it give me a class not found exception, I think it is a classpath issue does anyone know what could be the cause of that and how to solve it.

thanks

Most likely you are using some extra library, a jar file. Eclipse has that in its build path, but when you run your program outside it can't find it. The solution is to place the library your program needs in the path of your system, or in the same directory as your program. That should work.
