SL285 code, and Netbeans

Back from my SL285 (actually, I took the JB-341 which is SL-275 and SL-285 together), and I'm trying to study the code. I've struggled through learning to understand the NetBeans development enviornment for a few weeks now and think that I'd like to set down on that for the near future.

I'm trying to understand how I can "Import an existing Project" into netbeans. I know that SL285 already has packages, etc set up with src and class files inside of the BkerTol directory (folder). What I'm trying to understand is how do I "plug in" SL285 so that I can use it's functions while I review the code, and prepare for my developer exam.

Help, please!

Hi Marcus,

Normally I would suggest that this question belongs in the IDE's and other tools forum. However since others in this forum may have imported SL285 code into NetBeans, I suggest we leave it here for a day or so, and see if we get responses. If no responses, then I will move it.

In the beta release of NetBeans 4, the general concept is to create a new project, choosing "Standard" project, then selecting either "Java project with existing sources" or "Java project with existing Ant script" - the later is preferable if your SL285 code already has an ant script.

Does this help?

Regards, Andrew

Hi Marcus,

There have been no additional responses, so I have moved this topic to the IDE's and other tools forum. You can now find it here.

Regards, Andrew
