Question about extensions & extension points for Eclipse plugins

I'm trying to work with extensions and extension points for an eclipse plugin. Suppose I have a parent plugin with the extension point "testExtensionPoint", and I want the parent plugin to programmatically get the "TestExtensionAttribute" value of the child plugin. Effectively, I'm trying to get that value based on the dynamic type of the plugin. For example, I have a samplePlugin and a samplePlugin1, and I want the parent plugin java code to get "BLAH" when samplePlugin is used and "blah" when samplePlugin1 is used. How can I do this programmatically?

samplePlugin plugin.xml:

Thanks in advance for any help.

[added code tags and escaped special chars so XML shows up]

Alan,
I used Eric's escaping tool to escape the XML.
