Hi Everyone.

I have created a ear file through the ANT build files.
I want to use this .ear file to deploy it in WSAD.
What would the steps be right from scrach since I do not have anything setup.

First create a server. (This is a one time step.) Make sure enable admin console is checked. After starting the server, right click it and select launch admin console.

At this point, deployment is the same as it is in the WebSphere Application Server. You can use the wizard to deploy. More detailed instructions are in IBM redbooks (

Alternatively, you can write a wsadmin/jacl script to programmatically deploy.

Welcome to JavaRanch!

We're pleased to have you here with us in the IDEs forum, but there are a few rules that need to be followed, and one is that proper names are required. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.
