Our Client in the Chicago Loop is in need of a Senior Developer � Institutional Trading for a 6 month project Job Description; Responsible for design, prototyping, implementation, testing and deployment of interactive trading applications that allow institutional clients to view real-time rates and rapidly enter trades. Technical Skills: Should have prior hands-on experience designing and implementing trading system user interfaces based on a service-oriented architecture and J2EE back end. Must have detailed knowledge of how to build both presentation and middle tiers of real-time, interactive Java client-side applications with professional look and feel and integrate them into a financial services portal. A strong plus to have experience with WebLogic Server, JMS and XML. Business Knowledge: Must have experience in capital markets trading with detailed understanding of workflows and pricing conventions. Strong plus to have experience with FX products; understanding of deal structure and valuation. Leadership Skills: Must have proven record for ability to implement quality solutions under time pressure. Must also have experience working directly with traders, sales and other business users as well as external clients to define requirements and review prototypes. Must have strong commitment to and understanding of software quality processes appropriate for high-availability, mission-critical systems. Experience working on a geographically distributed team is a plus.
